⚠︎ Disclaimer ⚠︎
- When practicing acupressure, it’s essential to ensure your body weight is evenly distributed across the mat.
- Since your weight is evenly distributed on the mat, there’s no way for the needles to actually puncture the skin, so you don’t have to worry about any pain or injury from this holistic method of healing and energy promotion.
- The acupressure points can feel intense if used improperly, and concentrating too much pressure on one area may lead to discomfort or even bruising.
Avoid using an acupressure massage mat if you fall into any of the following categories or have any of these conditions:
- Pregnancy
- Nursing
- Heart conditions
- Use of blood pressure medication
- Skin infections
- Open wounds
